How to choose a camlock type

We list camlock couplings by type. Types A, B, D and F come with BSPT or NPT threads, types C and E have a hose shank, and DC and DP are the cap and plug, all from ½" to 6" in aluminium, stainless, brass and PVC.

Doubles and reducers include type AA and DD from 1½" to 4" (also reducing, from 2" × 1½" to 4" × 3"), DA from 2" × 1½" to 4" × 3" and from 2" × 3" to 3" × 4", AR from 2" × 2½" to 3" × 4", DR from 2" × 1½" to 3" × 2", and types CR and ER from 2" × 1" to 4" × 3", plus an API tank truck adaptor from 6" × 2½" to 6" × 4".

The letter tells you the halves. A, E and F are male adapters; B, C and D are female couplers. A and D end in a female thread, B and F in a male thread, and C and E in a hose shank. DC is the dust cap for a male adapter and DP the dust plug for a female coupler.

Which camlock type goes on a hose?

Type C (female coupler) and type E (male adapter) have a hose shank. Clamp the hose over the shank.

Do your camlocks come in NPT and BSPT?

Yes. Types A, B, D and F are listed in both NPT and BSPT.

Do you have camlock washers?

Yes. Rubber washers for camlock couplings are listed on our gaskets page.

Do you deliver outside Dubai?

Yes. We deliver anywhere in the UAE for orders from AED 5,000. Smaller orders can be collected from our Al Quoz counter.
