Camlock types chart: A, B, C, D, E, F, DC and DP
Every camlock has two parts: a male adapter (the grooved end) and a female coupler (the end with the cam arms). The type letter tells you which half it is and what is on the other end.

An easy way to remember
- A, E and F are male adapters. B, C and D are female couplers.
- A and D end in a female thread. B and F end in a male thread.
- C and E end in a hose shank.
- DC covers a male adapter; DP closes a female coupler.

Send on WhatsApp the type letter, size, material, thread (NPT or BSPT) and quantity. If you are not sure, send a photo of the part it has to connect to.

Questions buyers ask
What is a type C camlock?
A female coupler with a hose shank. It is commonly used on the end of transfer hoses.
What is the difference between DC and DP?
DC is a dust cap that fits over a male adapter. DP is a dust plug that fits into a female coupler.
Do type A and type B connect?
Yes. Any male adapter (A, E, F) connects to any female coupler (B, C, D) of the same size.
