How to choose a ball valve

S.S ball valves in SS304 or SS316: 1PC at 1000 to 3000 WOG, ¼" to 2"; 2PC at 1000 WOG, ¼" to 4"; forged 3PC at 1000 to 3000 PSI with BSP, NPT or SW ends, ½" to 4"; 3-way at 1000 WOG, ¼" to 4"; and 2PC flanged in PN16, CL150 and CL300 up to 12".

C.S (WCB) flanged ball valves come 2PC up to 12" and 3PC up to 6", in CL150 and CL300, and forged C.S (A105) 3PC at 1000 to 3000 PSI or Class 800 from ½" to 4". We also list M.S 1PC and 2PC at 1000 to 3000 PSI, C.I 2PC flanged PN16, brass (PN10 to PN25, ¼" to 6"), bronze and chrome plated up to 4", S.S and C.S hydraulic high pressure ball valves at 6000 PSI from ¼" to 2", and an S.S needle valve from 1000 to 10000 PSI, ¼" to 1".

A 1PC body is compact but cannot be opened for repair, 2PC is the general-purpose choice, and 3PC lets you swing the centre out for service, which helps on socket-weld lines. Use a 3-way valve to divert flow.

Questions buyers ask

Should I buy a 1PC, 2PC or 3PC ball valve?

Choose 1PC for a low-cost, compact valve, 2PC for general service, and 3PC where you need to service the valve in the line, especially with SW ends.

Do you have 3000# ball valves?

Yes. Our forged S.S and forged C.S 3PC ball valves are listed at 1000 to 3000 PSI in BSP, NPT or SW and the M.S 2PC at 1000 to 3000 PSI in BSP or NPT, all up to 4", and the S.S 1PC goes up to 3000 WOG from ¼" to 2".

What is CF8M?

CF8M is the cast stainless grade (ASTM A351) that matches 316. Our S.S ball valves are listed in SS304 and SS316, so send the grade you need with your list.

Do you have needle valves?

Yes. Our S.S needle valve is listed from 1000 to 10000 PSI, F/F or M/F NPT, from ¼" to 1".
